The implant osteotomy was prepared using a combined approach involving a piezoelectric device and bone densification drills. This technique was employed to expand the interradicular bone septum, ensuring primary stability of the implant in the ideal prosthetic position. To counteract the volumetric contraction of the extraction socket, a synthetic biomaterial graft (bioglass). This was protected by a long-term resorbable PLA-PGA membrane, which was sutured occlusally to cover the graft. Follow-up images at 2, 3, and 5 years demonstrate successful restoration of function and long-term maintenance of peri-implant bone levels.

POSTEX RESISTADownload

Patient F.G., a 51-year-old woman, presented for an examination due to a vertical fracture of tooth no. 31 (FDI 4.7), which was deemed irreparable.
